Image size: 13" x 38"
Limited edition size: 500.

McGregor Mountain Grizzlies was painted by by Sandra Nahornoff, BC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2006. It was painted for Bob & Barbara Harkins. This magical place is in the mountains above Penny, east of Prince George. A place Bob had many great adventures with his friends, including Clarence and his brother Jack Boudreau.

Jack's book "Grizzly Bear Mountain" shares many grizzly tales from this area. Including a special tale of a rendezvous on the mountain to celebrate friendship, and share a forty-year-old bottle of wine saved for this occasion. Sadly, the painting wasn't completed before Bob passed away, but stands in his memory. Bob founded the Project Friendship Society to help isolated special needs people become included in the community. He believed a strong community is a place where everyone is welcomed and valued. "A stranger is only a friend we have not met yet."

250 of the prints were sponsored by the Novak Family Foundation to support Project Friendship Society's efforts to connect people with special needs into the community.

This very special event saw eighty-four volunteers, more than half of which have special needs, collect, sort and prepared care packages for the needy. They prepared 45 bags stuffed with approximately $1,300 worth of items, which were delivered to the Elizabeth Fry Society and the John Howard Society for distribution.
